Convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell Allegedly Pursuing Clemency, Insider Alleges to Congressional Democrats

Per new allegations from a informant, Ghislaine Maxwell, now completing a 20-year prison term for sex-trafficking crimes, is allegedly readying a commutation application for consideration by the Trump administration.

Preferential Handling Claimed at Correctional Facility

Congressional Democrats on the House judiciary committee revealed that a source provided information indicating the inmate is preparing the clemency petition. They also stated she has been receiving special treatment at the minimum-security facility in Texas.

Representative Jamie Raskin, the ranking member on the House judiciary committee, stated in a official statement that the prison’s warden was “helping” the convict with copying, printing, and sending documents to aid her effort for executive mercy.

Specific details of the “commutation application” are unknown, Raskin added.

Alleged Privileges and Custom Arrangements

Raskin states that, according to the whistleblower, Maxwell has been receiving “customized” meals that are hand-delivered to her cell, and the supervisor has “personally arranged” exclusive visits for her and her guests.

These meetings reportedly involve a designated private space for visitors and a variety of food and drinks for her associates.

Maxwell’s visitors were also allowed to carry electronic devices, which Raskin described as an “unprecedented action” given the security risk and potential for unsupervised contact.

Reportedly on one occasion, when phone lines went down for other prisoners, she was given specific instructions about instructing her contacts to contact and how staff would connect the communication to her.

Warden as “Personal Secretary”

The whistleblower further reportedly told House Democrats that when the convict wanted to examine and modify papers “quickly”, she “essentially used” the warden as her private aide.

The news release indicates that Maxwell’s correspondents would email documents directly to the warden, who would hand them over to the inmate, who would review and edit them and provide them back to the warden to digitize and send to the initial correspondent.

Additional Privileges Alleged

Further perks reportedly provided to Maxwell include time to “play with” a service dog puppy – a perk not “ordinarily allowed” – as well as private after-hours access to the facility's gym.

Maxwell’s attorney did not immediately respond to a request for comment regarding the whistleblower’s claims.

In a statement, the presidential office said that it “will not discuss” on potential clemency requests.

“As President Trump has stated, granting clemency to Ghislaine Maxwell is not something he has thought about,” the spokesperson added.

Recent Background

Over the weekend, it was reported that Maxwell told friends and family in electronic messages that she was more content at the new prison than her former location.

In August, she was moved from a secure facility in Tallahassee, Florida to the less restrictive prison in Texas, where most inmates are serving time for non-violent offenses and white-collar crimes.

The transfer, which authorities called as “unprecedented”, occurred just shortly following she was questioned about the Epstein case by the deputy attorney general, the official, who also previously served as the President's personal lawyer.

That interview came as the Trump administration was facing mounting pressure to release more documents related to the ongoing probe and amid widespread conjecture around Trump's own personal ties to the fallen billionaire and adjudicated criminal, who was found dead in a New York jail in that year while facing trial on sex-trafficking charges.

Congressional Response

Through the statement, Raskin also revealed that he had dispatched a communication to Trump, demanding answers about the insider's claims, and called on the president to deny the clemency appeal.

“It would be inappropriate to approve any type of pardon to this convicted and unrepentant sex offender,” the representative stated in the letter. “Your Administration should not be providing her with room service, with puppies to play with, with government agents waiting on her every need, or with any special treatment or facility benefit at all.”

The congressman asked that Blanche attend a public congressional hearing to discuss the revelations and also presented several inquiries to the President.

He inquired whether he had talked about a potential commutation for the convict with Blanche or others, whether he had directed him or anyone else to arrange Maxwell with the move or favorable and preferential treatment in prison, and whether she, her lawyers, relatives or representatives have made any commitments to Trump or his attorneys.

Raskin has asked for a reply to the inquiries by the specified date.

In October, the US supreme court rejected an appeal from the convict on her sex-trafficking conviction.
