Assassin's Creed Introduces Unexpected AoT Crossover for Thanksgiving

In a surprising crossover event that breaks conventional predictions, Ubisoft has unveiled an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing free bonus story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Mission Disclosed

According to the authorized release, "An unusual confrontation pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where rumors of forbidden practices and terrifying changes resonate through the darkness." The storyline features a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who charges the characters with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a hidden group.

The adventure focuses on "strange experiments and a terrifying enemy" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Settings and Changes

The preview highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview concludes with a dramatic scene showing a character, probably the captive, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Prizes and Extra Features

Players who accomplish the quest will receive an exclusive katana in addition to multiple objects hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

Latest Free Story Addition

This patch also introduces the game's newest free story addition, titled "A Puzzlement."
